Hotel Fjordgaarden's Privacy and Cookie Policy

This privacy policy is designed to help you understand what data we collect via Hotel Fjordgaarden's website, why we collect it, and what we do with this data. This is important not only to ensure the security of your personal data but also to ensure that Hotel Fjordgaarden complies with all conditions regarding the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

GDPR sets new frameworks for how personal data is processed and how we handle the right to privacy. The regulation aims to strengthen and unify data protection rules and rights for the benefit of EU citizens. It applies to all EU organizations and non-EU organizations (of any size) that offer goods and services to the EU or use tracking technologies (such as cookies or tracking pixels) to monitor EU users' behavior.

1. Personal Data - What We Collect and Why

We offer certain features on the website that are only available through the use of the following tracking technologies. You can always block, delete, or disable these technologies if your browser allows it. However, if you reject cookies or other similar technologies, you may not be able to take advantage of certain features or tools.

We use several systems for booking stays, day spa packages, treatments, newsletters, and marketing. These systems also comply with all conditions under the GDPR, and we have created deletion policies and controls tailored to each system's use. Contact us for information on each system's policies.

We use Google services. Learn more about this on their Business Data Responsibility Site.

Generally, these technologies allow our website to store relevant information in your browser or device and later read this information so our servers or internal systems can identify you. Where relevant, we protect our cookies and other similar technologies to ensure that only we and/or our authorized service providers can interpret them by assigning them a unique identification that is designed solely for our interpretation.
